The Pink honey times

Where it all began

The spark that started it all

At just 19, I was a self-employed makeup artist working from my little studio in Prestwich, Manchester. My days were long, my diary was always full, and my clients were constantly asking the same question: "How do I get my brows to stay all day?".

I noticed a real gap in the market for a product that could truly tame and hold unruly brow hairs.

With no time during the day, I spent evenings back at my family home, hand-blending formulas in the kitchen. What started as a late-night side project slowly turned into something more. After countless trials, I finally created what would become our signature product: the Original Superhold. I remember the first time explaining to my family what I was doing. There was nothing but support and positive energy from everyone around me and I often think it is that support that really helped fuel my idea.

I've always been the type to dream big - sometimes too big. People often called my ideas ‘crazy,’ but my family never did. They’ve stood by me, believed in me, and cheered me on through every step of the journey.

The First Launch

I brought the first prototype into the studio, quietly testing it on my clients to see their reactions and the feedback was better than I could’ve ever imagined. I knew then, we had something special. With the help and encouragement of my amazing family, we took a leap of faith and produced our first “big” batch - 500 pots of Original Superhold Honey Glue. Each one hand-poured, hand-tied with a little pink bow, and packed into tiny boxes. I remember looking at my partner Byron just before launch and s saying, “What if nobody buys it?” He gave me a nervous but supportive look and said, “We’ve got nothing to lose. If you don’t try, you’ll never know.”

At 6pm, we went live.

DING… DING… DING… DINGDINGDINGDINGDING…

The orders were flying in. We stood huddled around the computer in the kitchen, wide-eyed, stunned, silent in disbelief. Not even two minutes later… sold out. Every single one.

That was the beginning of Pink Honey.

Dream to Reality

Now, six years later, we’ve expanded to over 200 product lines, operate warehouses in both the UK and Ireland, and have sold over 2 million units. But through it all, one thing has never changed - we’re still the same family at the heart of it all.

When I look back on this journey, from mixing formulas in my family kitchen to running a business with warehouses, a growing team, and customers all over the world - it still feels surreal. I often say I have 'lucky girl syndrome', but the truth is, it’s been a mix of luck, hard work, and never giving up on something I believed in with my whole heart. I’m so proud of what we’ve built, but even more grateful for the love, the support, the chaos, and the moments that shaped every part of this brand. Pink Honey will always be rooted in family, passion, and those little pink bows. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that the magic really does happen when you take the risk, back yourself, and believe that something amazing is just around the corner.

And honestly? We’re still only getting started.

“When your startng a business you have to be willing to lose everything you have invested into it - for a long time we made nothing, we worked full time alongside doing Pink Honey and everything we made from sales was pumped back into the business"
